Introduction

In 2020 life as we knew it had changed for the better or for the worse because of COVID-19. During this time, our lives have become more online oriented. And we are all glued to our screens now more than ever. But during this time most of us have found a new creative spirit. A creative spirit that makes us challenge ourselves to do something absurd and funny. So if you have that talent for comedic absurdity and theatrics, then Annoyance Theatre is the place for you to make your debut. In this competition, you guys get to be the actor, director and writer of your own original comedy sketch video. It’s the perfect place where you get to showcase your own comedic material and it is an amazing opportunity to reach new audiences. So if you know how to make other people laugh through comedic acting and by making jokes. Then Annoyance Theatre is the place for you to put your creativity to the test. A project organized by the Prefects’ Board of St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa. (ANY STUDENT THROUGH OUT THE COUNTRY IS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE)

About

Hey guys we are the Board of Prefects' of St. Sebastian's College and we have organised a fun competition for you. During this lockdown almost all of us are spending endless time on Tik-Tok and Instagram with no benefits received out of it. So we decided to help you guys to find your creative spirit and to find your funny bone, by organising this fun competition for you. And we need you guys to come up with the best and the most hilarious content you guys can imagine of. You guys get to be the actor, director and writer of your own comedy sketch video. And best of all, your creativity can maybe help you win some cool prizes. So come and join Annoyance Theatre. And compete to find out if you're going to be the new comedic star in Sri Lanka.

Rules and Regulations

  • Participants should make original content.
  • Recreations/parodies/dubbings of content made by other creator’s are not accepted.
  • Participants are allowed to use any video creating apps(Tik-Tok) and editing apps.
  • Using non copy righted back ground sounds and music is allowed.
  • Participants should be mindful to not over use filters in the creating/editing process.
  • Participants should submit a video with a maximum duration of 5 min. (minimum 1min)
  • At each point of the competition participants are given a duration of 8– 10days to create their videos and to submit them.
  • Permitted age group – 20 and below.
  • Sinhala and English submissions are allowed.
  • Participants will be disqualified if they prematurely publish their videos before the event.
  • Group submissions are allowed. (maximum 8 members)
  • Any submission that goes against the guidelines are disqualified at any point of the competition.
